"Why would you chose to stay with Lucifer?" Dean demanded, though it was a hopeless question. Everyone in the room already knew the answer, they were just waiting for me to confirm it.
"Because I love him," I stated calmly.
Anger flared in Dean's eyes but I kept my composure. I'd seen far worse things than an angry man, even if that man was one of the world's best hunters. "You can't love him," he snapped.
"Dean is correct, [Name]; Lucifer is an angel, relationships between angels and humans are forbidden. Moreover, Lucifer feels no sympathy for humans, he could not reciprocate those feelings," Castiel said. His voice was soft and gentle, as if he were telling bad news to a child.
I couldn't help but feel angry now - those patronizing sons of bitches had no idea what they were talking about. "You don't know anything about us," I replied bitterly. "And if you won't send me back, I'll just call him here instead."
